About the Memorial

The USS Dallas Memorial is a proposed landmark dedicated to preserving the legacy of USS Dallas (SSN-700), the only United States Navy submarine ever named for the City of Dallas. Designed as a permanent destination for remembrance and education, the memorial will honor the sailors who served aboard one of the Navy’s most distinguished attack submarines.

The project envisions a memorial featuring portions of the submarine, a future museum with historical exhibits and artifacts, and educational experiences that connect visitors with the history of USS Dallas, the submarine service, and the sailors who carried out missions around the world.
